Mr.N.Sundaramurthy, Founder and secretary of Tamil Nadu social welfare Association as “Tansowa Aatharavu illam” is a home for aged destitutes Orphaned Children, handicapped children, ladies abandoned by their husbands, and old aged parent’s abandoned by their children, was started by Mr. Sundaramurthy, in April 1996 with 5 Children & 6 Old aged People. Born & brought up in chennai, he has Started a Tamil Fortnightly Magazine in 1974, Namely as PURATCHIVENDAN He is the Editor And Publisher Of the Magazine and PURATCHIVENDAN MAGAZINE WAS Launched by PURATCHI THALAIVAR M.G.R. THE TAMILNADU SOCIAL WELFARE ASSOCIATION commenced on 1976 For the Social Services and also Started a Nursery School for the poor Children and He conducted many stage plays by Anna Kalai Mandram and Puratchivendan Fine Arts, Nearly 30 Stage plays were Conducted. PURATCHI THALAIVAR M.G.R, Makkal Kalingnar JAISHANKAR has Preceded the stage plays and Isari Velan, thiru sounderajan, and many famous Actors participated in anna kalai mandram, Actress Vadivukkarasi, Sangita and many famous artist have participated in Puratchivendan Fine Arts Stage play and various cultural welfare Programmes’.
He provides free food, free uniform, free education for poor children’s in his school. Unfortunately, he incurred loss in magazine and not able to run Nursery School and depressed, And then he planned to take care of the orphan and aged people so started an Orphanage home for aged, mentally retarded, physically handicapped children, and ladies abandoned by their husbands, and old aged parent’s abandoned by their children’s. With total commitment and confidence, he rented a house at Arumbakkam in Chennai, and started a home in April 1996 naming it “Tansowa Aatharavu illam”.
By the God grace and support of kind hearted people to “Tansowa Aatharavu illam” been growing by leaps and bounds over the past 19 years. Still all accommodate are Rented place in Arumbakkam Razack Garden Main Road And Razack Garden Avenue, And PTC Colony Madhuravol, Chennai.
In our child care centre,(CRECHE) we provide milk mid day meals and Medical care. For orphan Children also from the age group of 3 years to 12 years we provide all facilities mentioned above and also bear the educational expenses. We also take care of old aged orphans and give food cloth, shelter and medical aid. Students who do not have parents and staying with relatives house, we bear educational expenses and give food and cloth. We provide job opportunities to orphans and handicaps and give food, cloth and shelter. We also give training to get suitable job and make them to stand on their own leg. We give technical education to the deserved poor children and arrange Bank Loan to start their own business. We arrange marriages to persons living below poverty line. We also have marriage alliance centre and bride and bridegrooms belonging to different caste. We arrange marriages as per their wish. We also arrange inter caste & inter religion marriages. You are invited to take part and provide special food to children old aged people during your wedding day/birth day and also festive days like Diwali, Pongal, Christmas, Ramzan. Your family occasions like thithi and other auspious day also you can share and enjoy with us. The things which you are not using eg. Old chairs tables cots and also old unused clothes sarees. Kid’s wear you can hand over to our representative. We provide suitable job to educated youths as per their qualification.
